Taking its name from the Hawaiian word for shade, this model is our best-selling awning that packs down small and takes minutes to put up.
Whether its on the beach, at festivals, creating a shaded play area for the kids or conjoining two vehicles, the Malu Awning is a versatile item that also looks great.
Crafted in classic cotton-blend canvas that has been treated to be water, mould and UV-resistant, the edges of the awning are protected from fraying and ripping with a 2 centimetre polyester strengthening strip.
The Malu Awning really adds another dimension to your camp, and can be used alone or in conjunction with other structures such as Bell Tents. The adjustable guy ropes give great adaptability as the awning can be arranged as you need.
Put the pole spikes through the webbing guy rope straps to elevate that part of the Malu. Consider adding our Pro Awning Pole Kit for additional height-adjustable options. Two sides of the Malu have an additional brass eyelet so you can mate it with the A frame spike on the front of your bell tent.

Makes a good outdoor covered area for the bell tent. Just what was required on a recent camping trip.
Brought our Malu to go with the the Bell Tent but now use it with the car and on it's own for a picnic. Really useful
So far we've used it on it's own on the beach, connected to our bell tent, off the side of the Landcruiser and off the side of the house.
It's lighter weight canvas than the bell tent but that's fine and it makes it super portable in it's little matching bag.

The Bell Tent UK Malu Awning has proven to be an essential addition to my camping setup; Fast to put up, you can use it as a stand-alone or connect it to your tent for an extended porch. Just draped the Malu Awning from Bell Tent UK over my trusty camper, and let me tell you, it's like an upgrade from coach to first class! This awning is the Swiss Army knife of camping gear, shielding us from sun and rain with what must be woven from the threads of resilience itself. We connected the other end to the A frame of our 5m Bell Tent to creat a protected tunnel between the van and tent. It was a piece of cake to set up, and I've assembled my share of "easy setups" that turned into weekend projects.
