Originally designed for the relief market to be shipped to disasters at a moment’s notice, this wonderfully thought out stove is lightweight and easily transportable - just pick it up like a suitcase. The flue / chimney sections store inside the stove making the whole thing self-contained and helping to stop the back of your car becoming an ash tray...

This stove was originally designed to be used outside instead of an open fire and does that job brilliantly. It's a controllable, safe, enclosed heat and cooking source that you can use on sites that don't allow open fires.

We’ve worked with the manufacturer to develop a laser-cut tent flashing kit so you can now also pop it into your canvas tent and massively extend your camping season (add £40 for the kit).

All you do have to cut a small hole in the roof, everything else you need is in the optional tent fitting kit, apart from the scissors and the guts to cut the hole.
Don’t worry, you can buy the stove now and add the water heater when it comes in! Brilliantly designed, it wraps around the flue pipe where it leaves the stove and uses heat that would be otherwise wasted. And it unclips so you can carry it about, and has a metal tap to control the flow.
This stove needs to be further towards the middle of a Bell Tent than our Bell Tent Stove that goes through the wall, so is quite a dominant feature in a 4m Bell Tent (fine in a 5m or other, larger tents).
For safety, you also need to allow a minimum of half flue sections before going through the canvas so the heat has a chance to dissipate. With the long legs (designed to create a good working height, and stop the floor getting burnt) you can’t put the stove too close to the wall of the tent. Saying this, the stove is then closer to the middle of the tent meaning more of the tent gets heated.
As our Tipis are higher than our Bell Tents (plus the fact that the flue goes through the very top, not halfway down the roof) you need 3 x extra flue sections so the flue makes it out of the top of the Tipi. The total height is then 3.64m.
(N.B. There will be more soot ‘build up’ in the top of the flue at this height due to the diameter, so you need to be sure to periodically check for this and clean it out. Saying that, we have lots of stoves that have been extended and put into Tipi tents and so far have not had any negative feedback, but we feel we should make you aware of this.)
We have to put this as you are literally playing with fire. Bell Tent UK and Stoves for Tents takes no responsibility for the misuse of this product or for any damage caused by using it. Tents from us are not pre-fireproofed so if you feel that is necessary make sure you do it yourself, or why not consider using our new fire-proofing service, www.belltentpro.co.uk? This stove is a sealed unit so with some common sense you can protect yourselves. We recommend that you always put a mat or piece of carpet under your stove as sparks will go straight through the groundsheet. Always have a means of putting out a fire within reach and always make sure the fire is put to bed before you are.
This portable stove has a smaller flue than our other stove, and this can get coked up if you are burning things other than properly dried wood. Therefore we recommend you take the flue off and make sure it’s clear every few days to ensure you get the best burn and the most out of your stove. Also, if the flue becomes too coked up you run the risk of the coke build up actually catching fire in the flue, and obviously that’s not a good idea.
