Bell tents have a beautifully elegant silhouette, are quick to put up and pack down small – they were used as military kit in the 19th Century. The design is simple: natural cotton canvas drapes down from a central pole, and is held tight by guy ropes to create a distinctive old-fashioned shape outside and a wonderfully soft ambience within. They are fully waterproof, and in full sun you can roll up the sides and lounge about enjoying the breezy shade beneath.

The 4m tent easily sleeps six but it’s much more fun as a couple, luxuriating in an open-plan bedroom or party pad. The 5m tent is bigger than most British living rooms, and would make a spectacular chill-out area for a summer garden party.

Bell tents are for people who hunt out exquisite beauty spots and negotiate a couple of nights and some fresh milk in the morning with the local farmer; who love lying in dappled woods with their kids, and watching the shadows stretch at sunset; who daydream about wilderness fishing in cool Norwegian summers; who leave no trace when they pack up camp.

Bell Tent UK has a range of 3 different Bell Tents: a 4 and 5 meter Bell Tent with separate ground sheet (included), and a 4 meter Deluxe with an integral attached ground sheet. The Deluxe is more water resistant, but you lose the feature of being able to tie up the walls on a hot day. If you are not planning to use your tent in the winter, we recommend the normal 4 or 5 meter version.
