Our 2010 Bell Tents have lots of little clever upgrades. Thanks to the feedback from our buyers we’ve listened and tweaked and added options like an inner tent. All our Bell Tents now have the fittings to add the optional inner with the added bonus of having loops and hoops that can be used hang anything you fancy. (See our tea light chandeliers)

We've improved the A frame's footing and redesigned the door flap so you can flatten it down in good weather to avoid tripping.

We've taken our Deluxe  Bell Tent and added a Zip that goes all the way around the top of the groundsheet.

Now you get the best of both worlds.

A Heavy Duty Groundsheet that comes up 3 inches all the way round to stop all but the worst floods but still the option of rolling up the walls on a sunny afternoon, and it also takes our inner tent.

What makes it Ultimate?

All the quailties of a Deluxe but with a Zip.  If you want the best of everything and don't mind the extra weight (& investment ) go for the Ultimate but do consider the other versions as this may be overkill for most people.

The difference between the 5 metre Standard and the 5 metre Ultimate is that you get the added waterproof resistance of the ground sheet being permanently connected. With the Ultimate Bell Tent you can still roll the sides up on hot days (unlike the Deluxe tent). The Ultimate ground sheet is also a lot thicker (PVC 540 g/m²) and heavier (hence the Ultimate weighing 8.5 kg more!). If you look at the picture below you can see way the groundsheet attaches.

The Ultimate is the best of both worlds - combining the best features of the Standard and the Deluxe. However the Ultimate is heavier than the Standard so do thing about how you are going to use your Bell Tent and ask yourself is it really necessary to spend the extra money on the Ultimate?

If you are planning on using the tent in really wet conditions and still want the option of rolling the sides up then go for the Ultimate, otherwise consider the cheaper options!

This 5 meter Bell Tent comfortably fits four double air mattresses(If you fancy a love in or for a family) but if you just go for the one it's like a palace in there. (Think the same area as a double car garage, a Volvo estate is 5 metres long so if there was no centre pole you could get one of those and two Smart Cars either side.)

It is a MASSIVE tent so have a reality check before saying "I want that one!" because the 4 metre is perfect for most people and with the guy ropes you are looking at an 7 metre diameter footprint. (Make sure you get to the festival early to bag a big enough space!)

As you can see from the pictures with a bit of effort you can create your own vibe and be the envy of everyone in naff modern tents with no soul.

We now offer an optional inner tent that gives you the best of both worlds for £106 (+ £6 shipping).

Our Inner tents take up the half of the tent opposite the door to create a separate insulated and bug proof bed room.

Something to think about

If you are buying a Bell Tent with the intension of putting an inner in it you might want to consider the size of Bell Tent you’re after.

The reason we mention this a 5 metre Bell Tent is perfect for a family of four or five but when you then cut the space in half with an inner you are creating two half moon areas that don’t lend themselves well to fitting in many rectangle mattresses.

The other thing to consider is not being able to use our tea light chandelier at the same time as an inner tent as they both need the same space around the central pole.
