Welcome to the pleasure dome! This tent is the ultimate Glamping tent, nothing comes close. Hotel Bell Tent used the Emperor® Bell Tent for its top of the range, uber-boutique camping at Vintage Festival at Goodwood and Serenata Classical Music Festival in 2010, and we now sell them! We've taken our classic Bell Tent, cut it down the middle and added a crossbar to create a twin-poled palace. We've then raised the roof to 3m and have put an A-frame at either end to maximise the headroom throughout the tent.

As well as the main door in the middle, this copyrighted design has a secondary side door which is great for creating a through-breeze and also for connecting the Emperor®Emperor to a Bell Tent - perfect if you want to create an amazing, connected bedroom and living room space. Now that’s Glamping!

It’s also great for connecting to your wagon using one of our Malu awnings so you still have a clear front door but all the amenities on tap.

We thoroughly recommend our stunning rustic Tealight Chandeliers which give off both light and warmth. In our experience this is the best way to light up a Bell Tent - everyone looks gorgeous in candle light and they create a very romantic atmosphere. They hang from the centre pole and can be hoisted higher out of little ones' reach or lower to make the most of the light and surprising amount of warmth.

What makes it Ultimate?

This tent has all the qualities of a Deluxe but with a zip. If you want the best of everything and don't mind the extra investment always go for the Ultimate.

The difference between the Emperor Standard and the Emperor Ultimate is that you get the added waterproof resistance of the groundsheet that is connected to the canvas above ground level. With the Emperor Ultimate Bell Tent you can still roll the sides up on hot days (unlike the Deluxe Bell Tent). The Emperor Ultimate groundsheet is also a lot thicker (540g/m² PVC) and heavier than the Standard (hence it weighing 10kg more!) The Emperor Ultimate is the best of both worlds - combining the best features of the Standard and the Deluxe but do think about how you are going to use your Bell Tent and ask yourself is it really necessary to spend the extra money?

Beware!

• Because the Emperor® Ultimate has a heavy-duty, zippable groundsheet, the groundsheet and canvas weigh in at just over 35kg it's a heavy bit of kit (hence the more expensive shipping) and needs two people to safely carry around. It's perfect for long-term camping (like www.getonmyland.com) because it has the heavy-duty groundsheet, but think twice before trying to hump it across Glastonbury!   
• Just like the Standard Emperor® Bell Tent you can roll the walls up, and it has two doors and loads of windows so you can get a through breeze on a scorching afternoon and create a breezy chill out area or party pad.

The tent comes in two canvas bags, with a total weight of 35kg for the tent and groundsheet, and 15kg for the poles.

Please note: this guarantee covers manufacturing issues (such as stitching and water-proofing), it is not an insurance policy against damage caused by wear and tear or adverse weather conditions, such as high wind. Be aware that our tents are not designed for extreme weather conditions. Spare parts are also available.

The Emperor® is a truly MASSIVE tent so think very hard before saying "I want that one!" It needs at least a metre for its guy ropes so you’re looking at a 8m by 6m footprint (get to the festival early!) As you can see from the pictures with a bit of effort you can create your own vibe and be the envy of everyone in naff modern tents with no soul.

It is also UV and mould-resistant (please note, no canvas is entirely mould-proof, so we strongly recommend that you take it down every now and then to dry it out completely when it has been up for a while, especially if it's become wet after rain)
