These handmade rugs are tough enough for camping whilst still being sort under foot. After extensive research and testing (we use these rugs in all of our Hotel Bell Tent rental tents), we have found these rugs to be the perfect balance between style, functionality and portability.

Ideal for those who don't want to carry around coir half moon matting, these 100% cotton rugs pack down small and look great.
Better still, they are machine washable on a wool wash so you can take them down to the launderette and clean them up after a muddy festival - unless you have a massive machine at home, of course...

• These rugs are hand-made on a loom using natural fibres and vegetable dyes
• From the raw yarn to the finished item, these rugs pass through at least 10 pairs of hands
• Training is provided for weavers and offers education for their families. On no condition are children employed
• The care and concern for their workers goes hand in hand with their commitment to their suppliers and the environment
• With your help this manufacturer can continue to support traditional craft cultures which benefits the world's ecology
• The rugs are made from recycled yarn
We have found they work perfectly in conjunction with our entrance mats to create a really cosy feel to your tent. When planning which rugs you need for your Bell Tent we recommend you have a think about how many mattresses you will usually have and the fact that you don't need to fully carpet under them.

If you look at the picture of the inside of a 5m Bell Tent below you can see a good way to go is one large rug for the area from the door to the centre pole, and then compliment that with two smaller rugs either side of the bed. If you want to put your rugs under the pole position it before tightening the guy ropes it will make life easier.

A great help to catch mud and dust which can then can be shaken outside the tent. Working with smaller multiple items it is easier to transport everything in your car. Our rugs add soul, cosyness and warmth to your tent, plus they allow you to sit comfortably on the floor of your tent, not just on the mattress.
